  • Q: How can we get an estimate?

A: You can schedule an appointment by using the contact form or calling directly to (603) 209-1704.

  • Q: What are ice dams?

A: Ice dams are a result of heat loss through your ceilings and into the attic.

Warm air travels up from inside the living space and melts snow.

The water from this melted snow travels down to the eaves where colder outside air causes it to freeze again forming a dam.

More water from melted snow builds up behind this "dam" sometimes making it's way up under the shingles and into your home.

Note: There are many ways to "treat" ice dams including using heat or chemicals to cause them to melt . These methods while effective and sometimes necessary in the short term to prevent further damage do not address the underlying problem (heat loss). Addressing this root problem with insulation and ventilation will not only prevent ice dams from happening , it will save you money over time by keeping valuable heat inside your home where it belongs.

  • Q: Should I paint my house before siding takes place?

A: It is not necessary to paint before new siding is installed. Often the existing siding will be removed completely before the new installation.

  • Q: Will siding crack or fade?

A: All siding will fade over time. Most manufacturers guarantee that their siding product won't fade more than specified over a certain period of time.

  • Q: How often do I need to replace siding?

A: With proper maintenance siding can last as long as you own your home.

  • Q: Is a full siding job the only option?

A: No. Depending on the type and condition of your existing siding, repairs can be made. Sometimes a large siding project will be completed in sections, however, if the end goal is new siding on the entire building, it's usually more cost effective to complete it all at once.

  • Q: What siding material do you recommend using?

A: We recommend using a product from a reputable manufacturer that fits your style, budget, and home. Our representative will make suggestions to help you find a siding you love. James Hardie Clapboard siding is durable and attractive making it one of our favorite products to install.

  • Q: Is there Maintenance involved after a siding job?

A: Maintenance varies by product. Ranging from wood siding which needs to be stained or painted to vinyl siding which only needs an occasional washing.
